CM Punjab Announces “Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme” in Punjab. As you know, it is becoming very hard to build your own home as the time is getting modern and so are the requirements. The requirements are so high that a person belonging to the lower middle class cannot afford them. If one wants to build a home, the prices are meeting with the skies and instalment amounts are also unaffordable. 

In such a scenario, the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz initiated the Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme to provide people with homes on affordable down payment and installments.

Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme

This housing project is known as the Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme in which the government of Punjab planned to build one lac houses in the six major cities of Punjab. Each house costs 15 lac Pakistani rupees. An other subsidy scheme by CM Maryam Nawaz is known as “CM Roshan Gharana Solar Panels Scheme” is also launched in Punjab.

Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme Subsidy

The government of Punjab has decided to get a 40% downpayment from the beneficiary and it will provide a 60% subsidy which means that in order to benefit from Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme, people have to submit a 40% amount in the form of affordable instalment and the instalment will be of 5 years.

حکومت پنجاب نے مستحقین سے 40 فیصد ڈاؤن پیمنٹ حاصل کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے اور وہ 60 فیصد سبسڈی فراہم کرے گی جس کا مطلب ہے کہ اس سکیم سے مستفید ہونے کے لیے لوگوں کو 40 فیصد رقم سستی قسط کی صورت میں جمع کرانی ہوگی۔ قسط 5 سال کی ہو گی۔

Apni Chat Apna Ghar Cities

As the government of Punjab has decided to build one lac homes in the six major cities of Punjab, here is the list of those cities.

• Lahore
• Multan
• Rawalpindi
• Faisalabad
• Sargodha
• Sialkot

Apni Chat Apna ghar Project Initial Phase

There will be different phases in which these one-lac houses will be constructed. For the first phase, a total of 5000 houses are being built in Lahore near the Raiwind Road and over 3000 houses will be constructed in other cities as well to make sure that the opportunity is equal for all.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to avail of the benefits of the Apni Chat Apna Ghar Scheme, people must belong to the Punjab province and must belong to a low-income earning family that is income should be less than 60,000 Pakistani rupees otherwise they will not get registered. Moreover, they should be government employees and should not own any home.

اپنی بات اپنا گھر اسکیم کے فوائد سے فائدہ اٹھانے کے لیے، لوگوں کا تعلق صوبہ پنجاب سے ہونا چاہیے اور ان کا تعلق کم آمدنی والے خاندان سے ہونا چاہیے جس کی آمدنی 60,000 پاکستانی روپے سے کم ہونی چاہیے ورنہ وہ رجسٹرڈ نہیں ہوں گے۔ مزید یہ کہ انہیں سرکاری ملازم ہونا چاہیے اور کسی گھر کا مالک نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔

Apni Chat Apna ghar Instalment Plan

Those people who get successfully registered in the Apni Chat Apna ghar housing scheme will have to pay down payment only which will be 40% of total costs. As the total cost is 15 lac rupees so the downpayment will be 6 lac rupees. 

For that, an easy and affordable instalment plan is made for registered people and the instalment will be 26000 Pakistani rupees which they have to submit within 5 years to complete the 40% downpayment.

وہ لوگ جو اپنی چیٹ اپنا گھر ہاؤسنگ اسکیم میں کامیابی کے ساتھ رجسٹرڈ ہوتے ہیں انہیں صرف ڈاؤن پیمنٹ ادا کرنا پڑے گا جو کل لاگت کا 40% ہوگا۔ چونکہ کل لاگت 15 لاکھ روپے ہے اس لیے کم ادائیگی 6 لاکھ روپے ہوگی۔
اس کے لیے رجسٹرڈ لوگوں کے لیے ایک آسان اور سستی اقساط کا منصوبہ بنایا گیا ہے اور اس کی قسط 26000 پاکستانی روپے ہوگی جو انہیں 5 سال کے اندر 40% ڈاؤن پیمنٹ مکمل کرنے کے لیے جمع کرانا ہوگی۔

Apni Chat Apna ghar project’s Vision

The government of Punjab, specifically Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz assured her vision that the instalments of Apna Ghar Scheme Subsidy will be affordable so the low-income people can afford it and the construction quality of the houses will be the best one to meet the high standards.

She also assured people that the built home would last longer and would be able to handle ecosystem variations. Moreover, the sample homes will be constructed within the timer period of 6 weeks in order to show the internal and external designs of the home for the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.

Conclusion

To sum up, the Chief Minister’s initiative of building houses has a major purpose which is to address the increasing challenges faced by the marginalised people who are not able to build their own homes due to high inflation. The government of Punjab made it easy by providing a 60% subsidy and now the people have to pay only 40% of the total amount which is 1.5 million within the time period of 5 years. Moreover, the project preferred the quality and environmental stability of the homes to be constructed.
