How to Apply Punjab Green Credit Program Apply Online

The process to apply for the Punjab Green Credit Program online is made very easy and accessible.

Step 1: Visit the Portal

Log on to the official website of the Punjab Green Credit Program or download the Punjab mobile app.

Step 2: Create Your Profile

Sign up with your CNIC/B-Form, full name, mobile number, and address. Alternatively, you can also sign up as a group, school, or organization.

Step 3: Select Activities

Choose the eligible green-listed activities you have accomplished or may intend to undertake.

Step 4: Upload Evidence

Upload crystal-clear timestamped pictures, videos, or receipts to establish proof of your green action. For instance, a selfie together with your planted tree, solar panel installation utility bill receipt, or a video of your cycling expedition.

Step 5: Submit the Application

Fill out the online MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) form to submit your application.

Step 6: Track the Progress

Step 7: Redeem Your Credits

Redemption Options: Cash transfer, discount on public transport, green products such as solar lights or bicycles, educational scholarships for students are a few redemption alternatives utilizing your credit.

Integration: Upon the successful linking of the card with local banks and mobile wallets, cash transfer is guaranteed anytime, anywhere.

Eligibility Criteria for the Program

Here anyone can be eligible for the Punjab Chief Minister  Program: 

• Individual: In Punjab, all residents with a valid CNIC or B-Form, including students, professionals, housewives, and senior citizens, can apply.
• Family: Households may then register as a unit; thereby encouraging their family members to participate.
• Schools and Colleges: Educational institutions can join in collective activities and earn credits for the entire group.
• Business and NGO: They may also join in the list for undertaking large-scale green projects. 
• Specific Groups: Women, physically challenged individuals, and the deprived are among the special groups that are encouraged to join, specifically for extra efforts and bonus in some cases.

Green Credit Program Punjab Activities to Be Supported

The uniqueness of the program is that it covers a wide range of eligible activities, thus allowing all people to contribute to the project according to their capacity and interest. The project covers over 31 sectors:

• Tree Planting: Plant trees, care for them for at least six months, and ensure their survival. 
• Solar & Renewable Energy: Installation of solar panels, solar water heaters, or wind turbines at home, school, or work.
• Cycling E-Bikes and E-Rickshaw: Regular use bicycles, e-bikes, and e-rickshaws for daily commutes thereby lowering dependence on fossil fuel vehicles.
• Rooftop and Vertical Gardens: Setting up garden spaces on rooftops or vertical green walls that support air quality and aesthetics in cities.
• Waste and Recycling: Sorting out household waste, participating in community recycling drives, and composting organic waste.
• Plastic Reduction: Using reusable bags, bottles, and containers to reduce the consumption of single-use plastics.
• Water Conservation: Installing rainwater harvesting systems and water-efficient taps, while also promoting responsible water use.
• Public Transport: Ridesharing or appreciating the good work done by buses and train in reduction of emissions.
• Power-Efficient: Use of LED lights and energy-efficient equipment with smart meter.
