CM Punjab Green Credit Program Launched 2025

The CM Punjab Green Credit Program is a revolutionary environment-based scheme launched by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif under the Government of Punjab. This is a country-first initiative in combating the degradation of the environment through a unique “green credit scheme” in Pakistan. It is meant to encourage citizens, communities, and organizations to undertake eco-friendly actions in exchange for Credits, which can then be redeemed for cash or other rewards.

Punjab Green Credit Program also serves to prove an outstanding strategic response to the rapidly growing air pollution, deforestation, and climate change impacts from Punjab. The direct measure to pay for positive environmental behavior would mainstream environmental protection from a voluntary act motivated by community stewardship to a financially rewarding activity. The CM Punjab Green Credit Program is in essence a combination of an environmental policy, social mobilization, and an economic incentive that sets a new milestone in sustainable development in the region.
