CM Punjab Assistive Devices and Wheelchair Program
The CM Punjab Assistive Devices and Wheelchair Program is an initiative of the Government of Punjab that concerns all disabled people living in the province. The vision behind the Punjab ADWC Program
It is to create a society where physical disabilities are not impediments to a person’s living a complete and independent life. The objectives of the program are many: to provide free and high-quality assistive devices and wheelchairs compatible with the needs of disabled people; to facilitate social and economic inclusion through the removal of mobility barriers; and the reinstate and promote self-reliance among beneficiaries. - Residence: Applicants are required to be permanent residents of the Punjab province.
- Identification: A valid CNIC or B-Form is required. In the case of an applicant who is less than 18 years of age or mentally challenged, the CNIC of the guardian will be accepted.
- The Disability Assessment Certificate: This certificate, issued by the Disability Assessment Board, is a legal requirement for all assistive devices such as wheelchairs, prostheses, and hearing aids.
- Assessment of Needs: It should be recommended by the relevant medical specialists (ENT for hearing aids, orthopedic for mobility aids, and so on).
